The 2024-25 Panini Select La Liga brings the premium three-tiered design to Spanish club football, but this year's edition faces headwinds that previous releases didn't. The 250-card base set follows the standard Terrace/Mezzanine/Field Level structure. The parallel rainbow includes Blue Pulsar, Peacock (International exclusive), Red, Silver (unnumbered) plus Purple /49, Tie-Dye /25, Gold /10, Green /5, and Black 1/1. As always, La Liga Select has the shortest print run in the Select lineup. The hobby box (.95) delivers 60 cards with 3 auto/relic hits, 14 parallels (5 numbered), and 7 inserts. Pitchside Signatures, Select Signatures, and standard Signatures feature signers including Mbappe (his first La Liga Select), Yamal, and Nico Williams. Four case hits — Stained Glass, Artistic Impressions, Team Badges, and Visionary — follow the Select standard at ~1 per case each. The honest assessment: this is a weaker Select La Liga than previous years. There are no Yamal rookie cards (his RC year was 2023-24), no Messi cards at all, and the rookie class is thin. Mbappe's arrival at Real Madrid adds genuine star power, but it's not enough to offset the checklist gaps. At .95, it's the most expensive Select league product — harder to justify without a strong rookie class. What La Liga Select still has going for it is scarcity.
